As the Head of Product Design at 1KOMMA5°, I was hired to lead and grow a team for our flagship mobile app, Heartbeat.

Scoping The Product

As the product was 0 -> 1, it was crucial to define and scope out the product architecture. Through user interviews, competitive analysis, and stakeholder discussions, we aligned on the core product sections.

Home Is Where The Heartbeat Is

1KOMMA5 introduced many new innovations and advances to the home energy market. The Heartbeat tab was the home for these collective features.

Live System View

Giving users a simple, intuitive overview of their current system performance is paramount to the success of a home energy management app.

Showcasing historic data helps users understand their system performance over time.

Optimizing The System

Giving users a clear demonstration of potential optimizations in their system yields better energy prices, more C02 saved, and more revenue for the business.

To equip the teams with more data and to gather direct feedback on our individual features, we rolled out a feature rating framework.
